Prairie Street\, Lacon\, IL 61540. Register in advance by submitting either an online bid at iltaxsalebids.com or a sealed bid in person to the Treasurer’s Office. The office accepts bids during business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All sealed bids must arrive before close of business on August 8 to qualify. \nKey Auction Details\nDate: August 8\, 2025Location: Marshall County Courthouse\, 122 N. Prairie Street\, Lacon\, IL 61540Time: Submit sealed bids before 4:30 p.m. on August 8\, 2025 \nTerms of Sale\nBidders must include full payment with each sealed bid. Accepted forms of payment include personal check\, cashier’s check\, money order\, or bank draft. The minimum bid for properties is $836.00. Marshall County sells each parcel to the highest bidder. If bids tie\, the county will contact those bidders with instructions for a second round. \nAll properties sell as-is. Buyers are responsible for inspecting properties and researching title status before bidding. Titles are conveyed by a quitclaim deed approximately 90 days after full payment. The county does not guarantee title quality or permit availability. \nPurchasers agree to maintain properties after the sale and assume all liabilities. County employees and their relatives cannot participate in the sale.
