Blount County Tax Sale Information
Blount County will hold its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on June 5, 2025. The auction will take place in person at Blount County Courthouse. Registration begins on-site before the sale, and bidding starts promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Terms of Sale
The tax sale is conducted as a public auction where properties with delinquent taxes will be sold to the highest bidder. All sales are final, and properties are sold as is, where with no warranties. It is the bidder’s responsibility to research each property before placing a bid.
Full payment must be made on the same day as the auction.
Acceptable payment methods include cash, money order, cashier’s check, or personal check (with a verified letter of available funds from a financial institution). The county does not accept payments drawn on foreign banks.
The sale is not complete until the Chancellor signs the Order Confirming Sale.
A one-year redemption period applies, during which the delinquent taxpayer may reclaim the property by reimbursing the winning bidder with the purchase price plus accrued interest.
How to Participate
To bid on a property at the auction:
Register in person at the auction site before bidding begins.
Research properties ahead of time using the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury’s website.
Ensure you have acceptable payment methods ready for immediate settlement if you win a bid.
