Bibb County Tax Sale Auction Information

Bibb County will host its annual Tax Lien Auction on May 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM CDT. The auction will be conducted online via GovEase, with registration open from April 4, 2025, at 8:30 AM CDT to May 5, 2025, at 4:30 PM CDT.

Terms of Sale:

Deposit Requirement: Bidders must submit a refundable deposit equal to 10% of the amount they wish to be approved to spend. For example, if you want an approval limit of $12,000, they will require a deposit of $1,200. They must receive the deposit by 11:00 AM Central on May 5, 2025.

Payment Methods: They accept only e-check/ACH or wire transfer. They do not permit Credit and debit cards.

Refunds: They will issue refunds 7-10 business days after they completed the auction. The county will use the same payment method as the deposit.

Claim Deadline: The first right claims period runs from April 4 to April 29, 2025, with full payment due by April 29, 2025, 4:30 PM CDT.

How to Participate:

Register between April 4th and May 5, 2025, at 8:30 AM CDT.

Deposit your required amount via ACH/e-check or wire transfer to ensure approval to bid.

Pre-bidding opens on May 5, 2025, at 8:30 AM CDT.

Auction Day: Bidding will begin at 10:00 AM CDT on May 6, 2025.

Payment: Once you secure a winning bid, payments are due within 24 hours. To make payments, use the “My Payments” section on the GovEase website. For wire transfer instructions, email [email protected].
