DuPage County IL – Tax Lien Auction
DuPage County Tax Information
DuPage County will hold its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on November 20, 2025, at the DuPage County Administration Building, Auditorium, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois 60187. The tax sale will continue on November 21, 2025, if necessary. Registered tax buyers must attend in person and submit their bids using a USB drive under the new R.A.M.S. 2 (Randomized Auction Management System) process.
A list of delinquent parcels will be published in local newspapers in October 2025. The electronically transmitted Tax Sale list will be available for purchase for $250 by registered tax buyers. The sale list includes parcel numbers, assessed owner names, delinquent tax amounts, and other key details.

Time: Buyer check-in begins at 8:00 AM, and the tax sale starts at 9:00 AM
Terms of Sale
Registration: Opens October 1, 2025, and closes October 31, 2025
Deposit Requirement: A $500 deposit is required to participate
Bidding Process: Buyers submit percentage bids via USB drive; parcels go to the lowest bidder, with ties settled randomly
Payment Deadline: All payments, including taxes, interest, and a $104 per parcel fee, must be made via cash or cashier’s check by 3:00 PM on November 21, 2025
How to Participate
Register as a Tax Buyer – Complete registration by October 31, 2025, and submit a W-9 form if not previously provided.
Purchase the Tax Sale List – Available for $250 starting November 13, 2025. Buyers who do not purchase the list will receive only parcel numbers and sale amounts.
Submit Bids via USB Drive – Bring a USB drive with your bids to the sale. The R.A.M.S. 2 system will process bids and determine winners.
Pay for Purchases – You must make all payments, including fees, by 3:00 PM on November 21, 2025. Failure to pay results in cancellation and ineligibility for future sales.
