Franklin County will host its annual Delinquent Property Tax Foreclosure Sale on Friday, December 13, 2024. This online auction will take place on the GovEase platform, providing bidders the opportunity to purchase foreclosed properties directly from Franklin County.

Terms of Sale:

Registration and ID Requirements: All participants must register on GovEase and provide a valid government-issued ID. The registered name must match the grantee on the deed.

Bidding Process: Properties are sold to the highest bidder via an open auction format. Payment is required immediately following a successful bid, either by cash or cashier’s check payable to the designated authority.

Minimum Bid and Payment: The minimum bid includes delinquent taxes and court costs. Bidders must be prepared to pay all taxes accrued after the foreclosure judgment. The final bid must be paid in full to secure the property.

Deed Issuance: The County Auditor’s Office issues deeds within 30 to 60 days after the sale, records them, and sends them to the registered address.

Property Sold “As-Is” with No Warranty: Franklin County offers no guarantees on property titles, conditions, or zoning restrictions. All sales are final, and They sell properties “as-is, where-is.”

Special Assessments and Liens: Properties may carry existing liens or special assessments that remain the responsibility of the buyer. Announced known liens inform bidders, but bidders must perform due diligence on all properties

Register on GovEase: All interested bidders must register online and submit the necessary documents to participate.

Research Property Listings: Bidders should visit the County Clerk’s office or the Appraisal District website to view property records, maps, and legal descriptions. Properties may have unresolved title issues or occupancy status.

Bid on Auction Day: Login to GovEase on the auction day and place bids. If you win, promptly settle the payment.
