Henderson County Tax Sale Information
Henderson County will host its upcoming Delinquent Property Tax Sale on August 1, 2025, at the Treasurer’s Office located inside the Henderson County Courthouse, 307 Warren Street, Oquawka, IL 61469. The auction will be conducted as a sealed bid sale for both real estate and mobile homes. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Only online or written sealed bids will be accepted.

Terms of Sale:
Real estate and mobile homes will be sold to the highest bidder
Full payment must accompany all sealed bids
Acceptable payments:
Real Estate: Personal Check, Cashier’s Check, Money Order, or Bank Draft
Mobile Homes: Cashier’s Check, Money Order, or Bank Draft only
No verbal bids accepted.
Properties and mobile homes sell “as is” with no guarantees on condition or title
Real estate title transfers approximately 90 days after full payment
Mobile home buyers receive a Tax Certificate of Title after court approval
Purchasers must move mobile homes within 30 days unless they obtain approval for tenancy
County officers, employees, and their relatives may not participate
The County may reject any bid or withdraw items at any time

Select your name(s) for the contract and deed
Enter your bid amount (at or above the minimum)
Agree to terms and submit
Submit full payment within 7 days if your bid wins
Sealed Written Bid:
Get the bid form and catalog from the Treasurer’s Office
Fill out all required fields including item number, parcel or VIN, bid amount, and contact info
Include full payment (no cash) payable to COUNTY TRUSTEE
Mark envelope with “SEALED BID” and item number
Hand-deliver or mail early to ensure timely delivery
Submit one bid and payment per envelope.
