Pike County runs a Real Estate Sealed-Bid sale with a bid deadline on September 11, 2026, at the Treasurer’s Office, 121 E. Washington Street, Pittsfield, IL 62363. The office accepts bids during business hours 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday

Terms of Sale:

You submit the highest bid per parcel. The auction accepts online bids or sealed written bids only; the county will not take verbal bids. Include full payment with any sealed written bid (personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft) made payable to County Trustee.

If you lose, the office returns your original form of payment.

The seller conveys its interest by a quitclaim deed after payment; research the title and property condition before you bid, and plan for any municipal code issues or demolition orders if present.

County officials and certain relatives cannot purchase under 55 ILCS 55/1. The county may reject any bid or withdraw parcels.

How to Participate:

Online option (fastest):

Create or log in to an account at iltaxsalebids.com.

Open the Pike County sale, verify the item number and parcel, and enter your highest bid (not less than the minimum).

Agree to the terms and submit. If you win online, the auction operator emails payment instructions; you must pay in full within seven days.

Sealed-bid option (in person or by mail):

Pick up the catalog and the Binding Purchase Contract / Sealed Bid form from the Treasurer’s Office.

Inspect the property.

Fill in the Item #, Parcel #, Bid amount, Bid date, Name(s), mailing address, phone, and sign the form.

Enclose full payment (no cash) made payable to County Trustee; write the Item # on the payment memo.

Seal your envelope, mark “SEALED BID” and the Item # on the outside, and deliver it to the Treasurer’s Office at the address above. If you mail, allow time for arrival before the last-day-to-bid date.
