Terms of Sale
Pueblo County sells tax lien certificates, not real estate ownership. Winning bidders receive certificates that may earn interest when property owners pay their delinquent taxes.
The starting bid includes unpaid taxes, penalties, interest, costs, and the $12 auction fee. The highest bidder wins each lien.
All bids are final. Pueblo County collects payment through ACH debit from the bank account bidders provide during registration. The county retains the certificates and emails purchasers a list of their winning liens.
Important: Paying more than the lien’s required amount does not increase the certificate’s interest-bearing tax balance. Investors should account for any premium when calculating returns.

Register specifically for the Pueblo County 2026 Tax Lien Sale before October 30 at 4:30 PM Mountain Time.
Complete the W-9, enter accurate identification details, and provide ACH-compatible checking account information.
Wait for approval from SRI and the Pueblo County Treasurer.
Review available tax liens, research each parcel, and submit bids online.
Maintain sufficient funds in your registered account for payment after the auction.
