Delta County will host its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on the first Tuesday of the month, at the East Door of the Delta County Courthouse located at 200 West Dallas Avenue, in the City of Cooper, Texas. Date: First Tuesday of the month
Location: East Door, 200 West Dallas Avenue, Delta County Courthouse, Cooper, Texas
Time: 10:00 AM
All bidders must present a written statement from the Delta County Tax Office confirming no delinquent taxes owed, as required by Section 34.015 of the Texas Property Tax Code.
Payments must be made by personal check, cashier’s check, or money order, payable to Linebarger Law Firm.
The officer conducting the sale determines how soon payment must be made—some may allow up to two hours, while others require immediate payment.
The county sells the property as-is, and all sales are final. They issue the deeds within 4 to 6 weeks of the sale.
Attend in person and register with the deputy before the sale begins.
Registered and qualified participants place oral bids openly.
Each sale starts with an official minimum bid announced by the officer. If no one bids, the property may be withdrawn or struck-off to the taxing jurisdictions.
The Cooper Review advertises property listings three times before the auction.
The Delta County tax sale gives buyers an opportunity to acquire real estate through public auction. By preparing in advance, securing the required documentation, and reviewing property listings, bidders can compete for properties offered at competitive starting prices. This process follows the Texas Property Tax Code. Check all sale notices, conduct due diligence, and plan to be on-site early to participate
