Shelby County conducted an in-person tax foreclosure auction on the first Tuesday of the month, at the East Door, Shelby County Courthouse in Center, Texas. The auction began at 10:00 a.m. and offered 20 properties for cash to the highest bidders.
Date: Tuesday of the month
Time: 10:00 a.m. local time
Location: East Door, Shelby County Courthouse
Address: 200 San Augustine Street, Center, TX 75935
The Sheriff offered each property to the highest cash bidder. The minimum bid equaled the lower of the adjudged property value or the judgment amount plus interest and sale costs.
Shelby County could cancel any property without prior notice. Buyers could also face taxes that arose after the judgment date. Each purchase included only the defendants’ right, title, and interest in the property. Texas redemption rights may apply, so buyers should confirm the redemption period for each parcel.
The updated results show one property sold for $12,000. Results mark seven properties as pulled and eleven as struck off. One property appeared as a resale entry without a final result in the updated document.
Check the county’s tax-sale page for a new notice and property list. Confirm each property’s status on the sale date because the county may remove parcels before bidding begins.
Research the title, legal description, access, condition, occupancy, additional taxes, and redemption rights. Contact the county or Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson before attending to confirm bidder requirements and accepted payment methods.
Shelby County tax foreclosure auctions give investors and buyers access to properties through court-ordered sales. Buyers should review every parcel carefully because redemption rights, additional taxes, title concerns, and last-minute cancellations can affect the purchase.
