Douglas County Tax Sale Information
Douglas County will conduct its upcoming Sealed Bid Tax Sale on August 1, 2025, at the Treasurer’s Office in the Douglas County Courthouse, located at 401 S. Center Street, Tuscola, IL 61953. Bidders must submit sealed bids or place their offers online before the deadline. Office hours run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the sale includes both real estate and mobile homes.

Terms of Sale:
Douglas County will sell real estate and mobile homes through sealed bids only. Verbal bidding is not allowed.
Submit bids online at www.iltaxsale.com or deliver a completed Binding Purchase Contract / Sealed Bid with full payment to the Treasurer’s Office.
Accepted payment methods: personal check (real estate only), cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft.
If you do not win, the county will return your original payment.
All properties and mobile homes sell “as is.” No guarantees on title, condition, or permit availability.
The county will issue a quitclaim deed (real estate) or a Tax Certificate of Title (mobile homes) after full payment.

Inspect the property or mobile home in person.
Determine your bid amount (minimums: $826 for real estate, $915 for mobile homes).
Complete the online bid form or submit a sealed written bid with payment to:
