Marion County will hold an online tax deed auction on July 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. ET through RealAuction. Bidders must register and submit their deposits before the deadline.

Terms of Sale
Bidders must deposit $200 or 5% of their estimated highest bid for each property, whichever amount is greater.
Marion County accepts deposits by ACH, wire transfer, cashier’s check, or money order. Wire transfers require an additional $6 fee. The county accepts ACH payments for deposits only.
RealAuction uses proxy bidding. Enter your maximum bid, and the system will increase your bid in $100 increments when another bidder places a competing bid.
Winning bidders must pay the remaining balance, recording fees, and documentary stamp taxes by 4:00 p.m. ET on the next business day. The Clerk does not accept ACH payments or personal checks for final payment.
Failure to pay on time may result in deposit forfeiture and cancellation of the sale.
Buyer Research Notice
Marion County sells tax deed properties under a buyer-beware process. The Clerk does not guarantee clear title, property condition, access, value, or the removal of every lien.
Research each property before bidding. Review the legal description, title records, liens, judgments, land condition, access, occupancy, association balances, and estimated repair costs.
A property owner may redeem the property before the Clerk receives full payment. The Clerk may remove redeemed properties from the auction at any time.
