Roanoke City Tax Sale Auction Information

Roanoke City will host its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at The Berglund Center, 710 Williamson Road NE, Roanoke, Virginia 24016. Registration will be available online through November 18, 2025. The auction will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. EST, with both in-person and online bidding options available.

Terms of Sale:

Properties are sold “as-is” with no warranties, subject to any easements, covenants, or restrictions that may apply.

Bidders must be present at the auction or registered for online bidding.

A 10% buyer’s premium applies, with a minimum of $150.00.

A $1,000 hold will be placed on the bidder’s credit card for verification purposes.

Payment due immediately after the auction for in-person bidders and within 7 days for online bidders.

How to Participate:

In-Person Bidders: Must attend the auction at The Berglund Center. Payments can be made via cash, cashier’s check, money order, or personal check.

Online Bidders: Register at Walker Commercial Services. Ensure registration is complete before the auction day.

Payment Terms: The winning bidder must submit a 25% deposit or $1,000 (whichever is higher) on the day of the auction, with the balance due within 15 days after court confirmation.
