Key Auction Details:

Registration Opens: May 4, 2026 at 8:30 AM CDT
Registration Deadline: June 2, 2026 at 4:30 PM CDT
Auction Date: June 3, 2026 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Online Auction GovEase

Terms of Sale:

Lincoln Parish will use a standard auction percent bid down format. Louisiana law states that tax lien auctions use competitive bidding on the monthly interest rate, and bidders may reduce the monthly interest rate in one-tenth of one percent increments. The bidder who offers the lowest monthly interest rate wins, and the law does not allow bids below 0.7% per month.

All parcels will open at the same time and close at the same time. The auction will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT.

GovEase requires every bidder to submit a refundable deposit equal to 10% of the amount they want approval to spend. For example, a bidder who wants a $12,000 approval limit must submit a $1,200 deposit. GovEase must receive and approve the deposit before the bidder can participate.

Bidders may submit deposits by ACH/e-check or domestic wire transfer. GovEase does not accept credit cards or debit cards for deposits. Wire deposits can take 24 to 48 hours, so bidders should send funds early.

Winning bidders must pay the balance by June 4, 2026 at 4:30 PM CDT. GovEase instructs bidders to make payment through the My Payments section after the auction ends. Bidders who plan to pay by wire should email [email protected] for wire instructions.

Refunds will go back through the same method used for the deposit. GovEase states that refunds usually take 7 to 10 business days after the sale ends.
