Polk County will host its Delinquent Property Tax Sale Auction on November 21, 2024, at 9:30 AM ET. This tax sale will be conducted online via the official Polk County RealTaxDeed Online Auction and will continue until all listed properties are sold to the highest bidder.

Terms of Sale
Deposit Requirement: Before the auction begins, participants must post a deposit of $200 or 5% of the highest bid, whichever is greater. They Accept Deposits via ACH (electronic check), wire transfer, or cash (delivered to the Clerk’s Office).
Final Payment: The winning bidder must make full payment of the remaining balance by 11:00 AM ET the next business day, including the recording fee and state documentary stamps ($0.70 per $100.00 of the bid). Bidders can make payments by using wire transfer, cash, cashier’s check, or money order.
No Warranties: They sell the properties as-is with no warranties regarding title, condition, or defects. Buyers are responsible for conducting due diligence before bidding.
How to Participate
Registration: Participants must register on the Polk RealTaxDeed website. When you register, you provide basic contact and financial details, which we use to facilitate deposits and payments..
Deposit: They Require Each bidder to place a deposit based on their anticipated bids. They Accept Deposits online via ACH or wire transfer. The Clerk’s office must receive cash for in-person payments by 3:00 PM ET the day prior to the auction.
Bidding: Bidders can use proxy bidding to set their highest acceptable bid, and the system will automatically bid $100 above the next highest bidder. The auction continued until they sold off each property to the highest bidder.
Additional Information
Tax Deed Process: They sell Properties in Polk County to satisfy delinquent taxes. If the taxes remain unpaid for two to seven years, the certificate holder can request a tax deed sale.
Research: It is the responsibility of each bidder to research properties before bidding. They advise the Bidders to review property details with the County Property Appraiser’s Office and the Tax Collector to verify property condition, liens, and other encumbrances.
Forfeiture of Deposit: If the highest bidder fails to make the final payment by 11:00 AM ET the next business day, the deposit is forfeited, and the bidder may be barred from future Polk County tax sales.
