Point Pleasant Beach will host its annual Municipal Tax Sale on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the PPB Borough Hall, 416 New Jersey Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach. Registration begins before 10:00 AM, and the auction will commence at 10:00 AM. The auction will keep going until all eligible properties sell.

Terms of Sale

Bidders compete in a public auction by lowering the interest rate on the tax lien, starting at 18%..

If the interest rate reaches 0%, lenders may offer a premium to secure the lien.

Successful bidders pay the delinquent tax amounts, and a lien is placed on the property.

Foreclosure proceedings can start after two years if the lienholder does not redeem the lien, but the lien does not grant ownership or trespass rights.

How to Participate

Register: Registration is available on the day of the sale at PPB Borough Hall.

Bidding: Bidders will compete on interest rates, starting at 18% and with the option to bid down to 0%. When the interest rate reaches 0%, we can offer premiums.

Complete Payment: Winning bidders must pay the delinquent tax amounts immediately after the sale to secure the lien.
