Cobb County Tax Information

Cobb County will host its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The auction will take place on the steps of the Superior Courthouse at Flournoy Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration for this event begins in person at 9 a.m., and all interested bidders must attend to place bids.

Terms of Sale:

The Cobb County Tax Commissioner conducts the sale under the legal framework of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A.). The highest bidder will win a Tax Deed, which does not guarantee immediate ownership. Bidders must pay in full immediately following the auction using cash or a certified check. If no one bids, the property may be re-auctioned later in the afternoon.

How to Participate:

Registration: Pre-register online or arrive between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the day of the auction to register. Present a valid photo ID to receive your bidder card.

Bidding: Attend the auction in person to place bids. The opening bid includes the outstanding taxes, penalties, and related costs.

Payment: You must make full payment immediately after the auction. Cobb County only accepts cash or certified checks.
