DeKalb County will conduct its Delinquent Property Tax Sale Auction on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, held at the DeKalb County Courthouse, 556 North McDonough Street, Decatur, GA 30030. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m., and bidding begins at 10:00 a.m. This public auction is held on the courthouse steps, with parking available in the adjacent deck.

Terms of Sale

Properties are auctioned to the highest bidder, starting at the amount due in taxes plus additional costs. Successful bidders must pay by cashier’s check, cash, or bank wire transfer, payable to the DeKalb County Tax Commissioner. Payment is due by 1:30 p.m. on the day of sale. If a buyer fails to complete payment, the property will be re-bid at 2:00 p.m.

How to Participate On DeKalb County Auction

Pre-register Online: Complete the Bidder Registration Form by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024. Register online here.

Onsite Check-in: Begin check-in at the courthouse steps starting at 9:00 a.m.

Bidding & Payment: submit bids only in whole dollar amounts. Payment must be in certified funds and made by 1:30 p.m. the same day.
