Randolph County Tax Sale Auction Information

Randolph County will host its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on November 7, 2024, at the Randolph County Courthouse, 176 E. Salisbury Street, Asheboro, NC 27203. Registration begins 15–30 minutes prior, with the auction starting promptly at 10:00 AM.

Terms of Sale

Properties are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties regarding title, physical, or environmental conditions.

Full payment of the winning bid must be made via cash or certified funds to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on the day of the sale.

Sales are subject to a 10-day upset bid period.

Upset Bid Information:

Upset bids must exceed the current high bid by at least 5% or $750.00, whichever is greater.

Bids are filed with the Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court, and upset bidders must pay the bid amount in cash or certified funds.

How to Participate

Attend in Person: Bidders must register on-site before the auction begins and provide valid identification.

Bidding Representation:

If bidding on behalf of another, present a valid Power of Attorney.

Corporate entities must present certified by-laws authorizing the representative.

Trustees must present a Certificate of Trust.

Post-Auction Process:

Winning bidders must finalize payments with the Sheriff’s Office and proceed to the Clerk of Superior Court for further instructions.

After the 10-day upset period, the Sheriff’s Deed will be available for pickup at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, 727 McDowell Road, Asheboro, NC.
