Unicoi County Tax Sale Information

Unicoi County will hold its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Unicoi County Courthouse, 2nd Floor, Sessions Courtroom, 100 N. Main Avenue, Erwin, Tennessee. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the auction starting at 10:00 a.m.

Terms of Sale

The tax sale will include properties with delinquent taxes for 2022-2024, covering base tax, penalties, interest, attorney fees, court costs, and auction expenses.

Properties are sold as is with no warranties on title, condition, or boundaries.

A one-year redemption period applies. If redeemed, the winning bidder will receive their full bid amount plus 12% interest per annum (1% per month).

The full purchase price must be paid on the day of the sale via cash, cashier’s check from a local bank or credit union, or credit/debit card (with a 3% processing fee).

Personal checks will not be accepted.

Interested bidders must register on-site at the Unicoi County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m. on March 5, 2025.
