San Francisco County Tax Sale Information

The City and County of San Francisco will host its annual Tax Defaulted Property Auction from April 21-24, 2025, as an online auction at the San Francisco Tax Sale Auction Site. Registration opens on March 17, 2025, and closes on April 11, 2025. Bidding will begin at 8:00 AM PT on April 21, 2025, and will end at 7:00 PM PT on April 24, 2025.

Terms of Sale:

A $5,000 deposit ($1,000 for re-offer sale) and a non-refundable $35.00 processing fee is required to participate.

The deadline for deposit submission is April 11, 2025, by 5:00 PM PT.

Successful bidders must pay in full by May 2, 2025, by 1:00 PM PT. Payment options include cashier’s check, money order, or wire transfer.

All sales are final; the City and County of San Francisco make no guarantees regarding the properties’ condition, title, or zoning.

The County sells the properties “as is” with no warranties, including compliance with zoning or building codes.

Submit a $5,000 deposit and a $35 processing fee by April 11, 2025.

Review available properties listed on the auction site.

Place bids on available properties during the auction period from April 21-24, 2025.
