Key Auction Details:

Date: August 8, 2025
Location: McLean County Government Center, Room M101, 115 E. Washington Street, Bloomington, IL 61701
Time: Treasurer’s hours run 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; bids must arrive by “last day to bid” deadline—no in‑person bidding

Terms of Sale:

Auction uses “Sealed Bid” format: bidders submit a Binding Purchase Contract / Sealed Bid with full payment by mail or in person—Treasurer must receive it by the deadline

Acceptable payment: personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft, each with a possible issuer refund policy; if outbid, card returned

County may reject bids or withdraw parcels without notice

Properties sell “as is”; bidders must inspect and verify eligibility, title condition, permit status, or demolition risks before bidding.

County officers, employees, and relatives cannot bid under Illinois law (55 ILCS 5/Act 55 Sec 1)

How to Participate:

Obtain the Sealed Bid form and catalog from the Treasurer’s Office.

Inspect property before bidding.

Complete the form clearly with item number, parcel ID, bid amount (min bid: $791.00), bidder details, and signature.

Include full payment—made payable to “County Trustee”—and note the item number in payment memo.

Seal each bid + payment in its own envelope marked “SEALED BID” and deliver or mail to the Treasurer’s Office before the last day to bid.

After the deadline, the county notifies winners by mail. Unsuccessful bidders receive voided payment and notice of the winning bid level.
