Cass County will host a sealed‑bid Delinquent Property Tax Trustee Sale on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Courthouse, 100 E. Springfield St., Virginia, IL 62691. The Treasurer’s Office accepts sealed, written during courthouse hours. Online bidders submit through ILTaxSaleBids by the same deadline. Courthouse hours run 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. CT.

How to Participate:

Enter your highest bid per parcel (sealed‑bid format uses your top number).

Agree to the online terms, then submit. If you win online, pay in full within seven (7) days or the agent moves to the next highest bidder. Online card payments add a 3% fee; ACH/e‑check adds an $8 fee

Option B — Deliver a Sealed, Written Bid (in person or by mail):

Pick up the Binding Purchase Contract / Sealed Bid form from the Treasurer or download it from the Cass auction page. Include the Item # and Parcel #, your bid amount, contact info, and signature.

Include full payment with your sealed bid envelope (follow the Cass catalog):
  Real estate: You may include a personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft for the full bid amount.
  Mobile homes: Use certified funds only (cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft).
