Taylor County will conduct a Tax Deed Sale on Monday, October 13, 2025, in the courtroom on the 2nd floor of the Taylor County Courthouse (108 N. Jefferson St., Perry, FL 32347). The Clerk schedules bidding to start at 11:00 a.m. (arrive early to get situated).

Terms of Sale

Bid in $50+ increments.

Bring a $200 cash deposit per parcel you win and pay it immediately after each winning bid. You will not receive a refund of this deposit.

Pay the full balance by 11:00 a.m. the next day or forfeit the deposit and cover re‑advertising costs.

Use acceptable payment methods only: cash, cashier’s check, or money order. The Clerk does not accept personal checks.

Add mandatory fees: documentary stamp tax ($0.70 per $100 of consideration in Taylor County) plus recording fees. The Clerk will calculate these at payment.

Understand title risk: the Clerk does not guarantee clear title; liens or encumbrances can survive the sale. Do your own due diligence or speak with a Florida real estate attorney.

Know the redemption rule: the owner or an interested party can redeem until you make full payment to the Clerk (including doc stamps and recording fees).

How to Participate

Confirm the sale docket. Check the Tax Deeds page for active files and updates, and review the legal notices in the Perry News‑Herald/Taco Times.

Research each parcel before you bid.

  • Search Official Records for liens and judgments.

  • Verify parcel data with the Taylor County Property Appraiser (qPublic).

  • Call the Tax Collector to confirm whether current taxes remain due beyond the opening bid.

Arrive prepared at the courthouse. Bring cash for the $200 deposit per winning parcel and plan an acceptable payment for the balance. Bidding starts at 11:00 a.m.

Close your purchase. After the auction, meet the Tax Deed Clerk to receive your totals, pay immediately or by 11:00 a.m. the next day, and record the deed.

Plan next steps. Consider a title action or other curative steps if you need an insurable title. The Clerk cannot provide legal advice
