Adams County will host its Annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 9:00 AM (CDT). The event will take place at the Adams County Courthouse, Courtroom 2D, located at 507 Vermont St, Quincy, IL 62301. This auction includes both real estate and mobile home local service taxes for properties with unpaid 2023 taxes.

Terms of Sale

All tax buyers must register with the Adams County Collector’s Office by October 17, 2024, at 4:30 PM. The registration includes a $300 deposit and a completed IRS Form W-9.
Bidding will start at 9% and is conducted through the Real Time Auction Management System (R.A.M.S.). The tax sale certificate will be awarded to the lowest bidder.
All bids are final, and buyers must pay for all purchased parcels on the day of the sale using signed blank checks drawn on a U.S. bank.
They sell off properties as-is, and they encourage bidders to conduct thorough research, including title searches and visual inspections.

How to Participate

Register: Complete the Certificate of Registration form, include the $300 deposit, and submit it to the Adams County Collector’s Office by October 17, 2024. Include a completed IRS Form W-9. Forms are available on the Adams County Treasurer’s Website.

Check-In: Arrive by 8:30 AM on the day of the auction and check in at the Collector’s Office. Provide a signed blank check for payment.
