Allegany County Tax Sale Auction Information

Allegany County will host its 2025 Tax Lien Sale on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. The auction will be conducted online using the Allegany County Tax Sale Website. The sale will begin at 9:00 AM ET and end at 1:00 PM ET. A second sale for unsold properties will start at 1:30 PM ET and close at 2:00 PM ET.

Deeds: Successful bidders will receive tax lien certificates after the sale, and the property owner must redeem them within the redemption period.

Redemption: Property owners can redeem their properties by paying the amount due plus interest, penalties, and any associated costs.

Auction Format: The auction will be conducted in batches, with each batch closing every hour.

No Guarantees: The auction sells the properties without any guarantees regarding title, condition, or legal encumbrances.

How to Participate

Register: Complete the registration online at the Allegany County Tax Sale Website between May 7 and May 21, 2025.

Pay Registration Fee: A $50 refundable fee is due at the time of registration via ACH Debit Authorization.
