Delaware County Tax Sale Auction Information

Delaware County will host its annual Upset Price Tax Sale on September 18, 2025, at the Government Center, Ground Floor, 201 W. Front Street, Media, PA 19063. Registration will take place on August 25 – 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, or until we reach 120 registered bidders. The auction will start promptly at 10:00 AM on September 18, 2025.

Terms of Sale:

The minimum bid must cover all unpaid taxes, costs, and municipal liens.

Mortgages and liens remain in effect, even after tax sale.

Payment is due by noon the day after the sale.

All sales are final.

How to Participate in Delaware County:

Register Early: Registration is limited to the first 120 bidders. Ensure you complete and notarize the required Bidder Application and Affidavit forms. Bring the completed forms to the office during registration hours.

Required Documents: Bring your completed application, notarized affidavit, and conditions of sale. Failure to bring complete forms will prevent you from registering.

Registration Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $25 is required. Additionally, a registration fee of $1,000 is due at the time of registration.

Forms and Payment: Payments must be made via certified check, cashier’s check, money order, or Visa/MasterCard (with a 3% convenience fee).

Payment Deadline: Final payment is due by noon the day after the sale for all successful bids.
