Henrico County Tax Information

Henrico County will hold its 2024 Delinquent Property Tax Sale Auction from Monday, September 30, 2024, through Thursday, October 31, 2024. The auction will occur online on TACS Auction Site, where participants can bid on Tax Sale Certificates for properties with unpaid taxes. These certificates represent a lien on the property, giving buyers an opportunity to earn interest or acquire the property through foreclosure if the lien is not redeemed.

Terms of Sale

A 10% Buyer’s Premium (minimum $150) applies to all winning bids.

Buyers must use a cashier’s check, money order, or wire transfer for payments. The highest bidder must complete payment within seven days of the auction closing. Personal checks or cash will not be accepted.

All properties are sold as-is, where-is. Potential bidders should inspect properties or order independent title searches to assess suitability.

How to Participate:

1. Register: Sign up on the TACS Auction Site. If you have previously registered for a TACS auction, you do not need to resubmit the bidder approval form.
2. Complete Bidder Approval: Submit your approval form for auction participation. Once approved, you can place bids during the auction.
3. Bid Online: Registered users may either place bids manually or set a maximum bid for automatic bidding. Ensure you research the properties thoroughly before placing any bids.
