Hood County Tax Sale Information

Hood County will hold its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the 2nd-floor courtroom of the Hood County Courthouse at 100 East Pearl Street in Granbury, Texas. The auction begins at 10:00 AM. Bidders must register in person with the officer conducting the sale and bring a written statement showing no delinquent taxes.

The written statement costs $10 and must be presented on the day of the sale.

The redemption period is 6 months unless the property qualifies as homestead or agricultural, which allows a 2-year redemption.

Deeds are mailed to the purchaser 3–4 weeks after the sale.
