Jack County Tax Sale Information

Jack County will hold its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on February 4, 2025, at the West Door of the Courthouse, 100 N Main St, Jacksboro, TX 76458. Registration takes place before the sale, with bidding starting promptly at 10:00 AM.

Terms of Sale:

Only registered bidders can participate. Registration requires a $10.00 non-refundable fee per tax sale and must be completed at the Jack County Tax Assessor/Collector’s Office at least five business days before the sale.

Winning bids must be paid in U.S. currency, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card (a 2.25% convenience fee applies, a minimum of $2.00). Payment is due within 2-3 hours after the sale.

All sales are final, with no refunds. Deeds will be issued in the name provided at the close of bidding.

The county sells properties as is, without warranties or guarantees on suitability, liens, access, or encumbrances.

Some listings may include mobile homes, but these may be uninhabitable or no longer present.

The winning bidder must pay any unpaid property taxes not included in the judgment. You must pay these with a separate check at the auction’s close.

If a bidder fails to pay, the sale will reopen later that day.

How to Participate:

Register at least five business days before the tax sale by submitting a Jack County Tax Bidder Form to the Tax Assessor/Collector’s Office.
