Johnson County Tax Sale Auction Information

Johnson County will host its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on August 14, 2025, at the Hughes Community Center, located at 1000 East Parkway in Russellville. Registration begins at the auction site, with bidding starting at 10:00 AM Central Time.

Terms of Sale:

Bidders must register before placing bids and present a valid photo ID with driver’s license information.

All winning bids must be paid in full immediately after the auction.

Accepted payment methods include personal check, business check, cashier’s check, money order, or debit/credit card (subject to a 4% processing fee).

Cash is not accepted.

The Commissioner of State Lands will issue a Limited Warranty Deed after full payment is received.

How to Participate:

Arrive at least 30 minutes early to register.

Review the auction catalog beforehand at cosl.org.

Perform due diligence on all parcels. Determine parcel location, legal description, and whether liens or encumbrances may apply.

Understand that all sales are final. Effective July 1, 2023, redemption is no longer available after 4:00 p.m. the business day before the sale
