Reeves County Tax Sale Information

Reeves County will host its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on April 1, 2025, at the North Door of the Reeves County Courthouse in Pecos City, Texas. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM, with the auction starting promptly at 10:00 AM.

Terms of Sale:

Payment: Cash, cashier’s check, or money order payable to Reeves County Sheriff.

Registration: All bidders must register with the person conducting the sale before the auction. Valid identification required (driver’s license or state-issued ID).

Bidder Requirements: Purchasers must pay the full bid amount on the day of the sale. Failure to pay will result in a 20% penalty and additional costs.

Property Sold As-Is: All properties are sold without warranty of any kind, and the title is not guaranteed.

Right of Redemption: Properties are subject to a statutory right of redemption, lasting up to two years for homestead properties and mineral interests, and 180 days for others.

Deeds: Successful bidders will receive a Sheriff’s Deed, which is “without warranty,” and title insurance may be difficult to obtain.

How to Participate:

Pre-registration is required. You can register at the Reeves County Courthouse from 9:00 AM on the day of the sale, or prior to the sale at the office of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson LLP, 501 N. Washington, Pecos, TX, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM one week prior to the auction.

You must provide a completed Affidavit of No Taxes Due, available at the Polk County Tax Assessor Collector’s Office, at the time of registration or when you bid.
