St. Clair County Tax Sale Auction Information

St. Clair County will host its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on May 6, 2025, with both in-person and online bidding available. Registration is required through the GovEase.com website starting on April 2, 2025, and closing on May 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM CDT. The auction will begin promptly at 9:00 AM CDT.

Terms of Sale:

The Code of Alabama Title 40-10-182 will govern the conduct of the tax lien auction.

Each tax lien will include an administrative fee of $45, effective upon the preparation of the auction list.

You must make the full payment within 24 hours after the auction concludes, by May 7, 2025, at 4:00 PM CDT.

You can pay online through GovEase.com using methods like ACH or wire transfer.

Bidders need a bank letter for registration. For assistance, contact St. Clair County Revenue Commissioner at (205) 884-2395 ext 2 or [email protected].

How to Participate:

Register by uploading all required documents through the GovEase.com before the auction.

Be sure to submit a refundable 10% deposit for the amount you wish to be approved to bid.

Review the Payment Instructions to ensure timely processing of your payment after the auction.

Once registered, pre-bidding opens on May 2, 2025, at 8:30 AM CDT.
