Stafford County Tax Information

Stafford County will host its Public Online and Live Simulcast Tax Delinquent Real Estate Sale Auction on October 16, 2024, at the Stafford County Administrative Board Room, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554. Registration begins online, and the auction starts at 11:00 AM.

Terms of Sale

10% Buyer’s Premium.

The highest bidder must deposit 10% of the total sales price by cash or a good check.

For in-person bidders, the highest bidder must pay the deposit on the auction day with cash or a good check.

For online bidders, registration through the Auction Firm’s website is required, and the highest bidder will receive a contract and payment instructions via email. The deposit must be made within five business days after the auction closes. Payment methods include cash, check, money order, certified funds, or wire transfer. Wire instructions will be provided if requested.

Deposit requirements: 10% of the winning bid or $200, whichever is greater.
