Volusia County will host its upcoming Delinquent Property Tax Sale on October 7, 2025, at Volusia County Online Auction Site. Registration is required prior to the sale, with the auction starting at 9:00 AM ET.

Terms of Sale

All properties are sold “AS IS” with no guarantees or warranties, including the title, zoning compliance, or physical condition. Successful bidders are responsible for all research and understanding of the property’s condition and outstanding obligations, including additional taxes or liens.

Payments must be made within 24 hours of the sale. Acceptable forms of payment include wire transfers, cashier’s checks, or money orders. ACH or personal checks are not permitted. The high bidder must also pay state documentary stamp taxes and recording fees.

How to Participate

Registration
Register at Volusia County Online Auction Site to obtain a username and password. A valid deposit of $200.00 or 5% of the anticipated bid (whichever is greater) is required. Deposits can be made via ACH, wire transfer, cashier’s check, or money order.

Deposit Deadlines
ACH: Funds must clear at least four full business days before the sale.
Wire Transfers: Must arrive by 2:00 PM ET on the business day before the sale.
Deliver in-person deposits (cashier’s checks or money orders) to the Clerk’s Office, Volusia County Courthouse, Room A121, in DeLand, FL, by 2:00 PM ET on the business day before the sale.

Bidding Process
Bidding begins at the scheduled time, starting with the first property listed. Proxy bidding is available, where the system places bids on your behalf up to your maximum limit. Any bid placed in the final 30 seconds of an auction extends the bidding period by 1 minute.

Final Payments
The winning bidder must complete payment, including all fees and taxes, by 12:00 PM ET the next business day. Payments must be in U.S. Dollars and delivered via wire transfer, cashier’s check, or money order.
