Woodford County Tax Sale Information

Woodford County will host its upcoming Delinquent Property Tax Sale on August 8, 2025, at the Woodford County Courthouse, 115 N. Main Street, Eureka, IL 61530. This is a sealed bid auction handled by Treasurer Melissa Andrews. You must either submit a bid online or hand-deliver a completed Binding Purchase Contract along with full payment before the bidding deadline.

Terms of Sale:

Bidders must submit full payment with each bid using personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft made payable to the County Trustee.

Bids will not be accepted without full payment. No verbal bidding is allowed.

The County will award properties to the highest bidder. In the event of identical bids, all tied parties will receive further bidding instructions.

The County may reject any bid or withdraw any property at any time.

Properties sell “as is” with no guarantee of title quality, zoning compliance, or condition.

The County transfers ownership through a quitclaim deed approximately 90 days after receiving payment.

All general and special taxes starting January 1, 2026, become the buyer’s responsibility.

To Bid Online:

Visit iltaxsalebids.com.

Create or log into your bidder account.

Physically inspect properties before placing any bids.

Submit your bid online by August 8, 2025.

If you win, submit full payment within 7 days of notification.

To Submit a Sealed Written Bid:

Pick up a bid form and catalog at the Treasurer’s Office or print it from the official site.

Inspect the property, complete the Binding Purchase Contract, and enclose full payment (no cash).

Place each bid and payment in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID.”
