Washington County will host its upcoming Delinquent Property Tax Sale on October 28, 2025, via an online auction at https://washington.realtaxdeed.com/. Registration begins prior to the auction, with the bidding starting promptly at 10:00 AM CT.

Terms of Sale

All properties are sold “AS IS.”

Bidders are responsible for conducting their own research on title status, property condition, encumbrances, or liens.

A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 or 5% of the winning bid (whichever is greater) must be submitted before the auction begins.

Payments for winning bids must be completed within 24 hours and include state documentary stamp fees of $0.70 per $100 and recording fees.

Acceptable payment methods include ACH electronic check, wire transfer, cash, cashier’s check, or money order.

How to Participate

Registration:
Create an account at RealTaxDeed before the auction date.

Submit your deposit electronically or in person at the Washington County Clerk’s Office (1293 Jackson Avenue, Suite 101, Chipley, FL 32428).

Bidding Process:
The system automatically increases your bid by $100 increments through proxy bidding until it reaches your maximum bid.

If someone places a bid within the last 30 seconds of the timer, the auction extends by one minute.

Payment for Winning Bids:
Complete full payment within 24 hours using one of the approved methods.

Once payment is verified, the office mails tax deeds.
