Baraga County will hold its delinquent property tax sale on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, running 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EDT. The auction takes place online only via www.tax‑sale.info. Register online at least 48 hours before the sale; advance bidding opens earlier. Absentee bids are also available—call 1-800-259-7470 for assistance.

Terms of Sale:

Auction accepts credit/debit cards, wire transfers, or certified (cashier’s) checks only—no cash or personal checks.

Buyers must pay in full within five business days of sale, including bid amount, taxes, 10% buyer’s premium, deed recording fee, and any card surcharge.

Auction parcels sell “as-is” based only on legal description; all details remain unverified. Do your own due diligence—check zoning, structural condition, occupancy, utilities, and environmental risks.

You cannot enter any buildings—even if unlocked. Inspect visually only, from outside. Assume full liability for any injuries or encounters.

No refunds or sale cancellations allowed at buyer’s request. Liquidated damages and bans apply if buyers default.

Upload required deposit via $1,000 pre-authorization on Visa/MasterCard/Discover, or mail in a $1,000 certified check.

Absentee bids: Available by calling the auction office; still require the deposit.
