Jersey County will host its upcoming Tax Deed Auction on September 4, 2025, at the Jersey County Governmental Building in Jerseyville, Illinois. This sale offers both real estate parcels and mobile homes through a sealed bid process.

Terms of Sale:

Submit bids either online at iltaxsalebids.com or by delivering a sealed written bid with full payment to the Treasurer’s office before the last day to bid.

Acceptable payment forms include personal check, cashier’s check, money order, or bank draft. Cash is not accepted.

Properties sell to the highest bidder. In the event of tie bids, the Treasurer’s office will provide additional instructions.

Winning bidders receive notification by mail; unsuccessful bidders will have payments returned.

Properties and mobile homes sell as-is. Inspect before submitting a bid.

Title transfers by quitclaim deed approximately 90 days after full payment (for real estate). Mobile home purchases result in issuance of a Tax Certificate of Title through the Illinois Secretary of State.

Buyers cover all future taxes starting January 1, 2026.
