Key Auction Details:

Date: September 17, 2025
Location: Jury Assembly Room, Ground Floor, Metropolitan Davidson County Courthouse, One Public Square, Nashville, TN 37201
Time: 12:00 p.m. (Registration from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon)

Terms of Sale:

The sale is open to the public and conducted by the Chancery Court Clerk and Master’s Office. Bidders must complete registration forms before noon. All individuals listed on the deed must attend and sign the registration. Bidding requires cashier’s checks drawn from U.S. banks—no credit cards or foreign banks accepted.

The highest bidder must pay in full by Friday at 12:00 p.m. using a cashier’s check. The winning bidder becomes a party to the underlying lawsuit and must comply with the bid. Failure to do so may lead to legal action and exclusion from future tax sales.

Sales are subject to the right of equity of redemption as outlined in Tennessee Code Annotated §67-5-2701. Former owners or other parties may redeem the property within a set timeframe. If redeemed, the buyer receives the purchase amount plus 1% interest per month.

Properties transfer “as is, where is,” with no warranties on title or condition. Purchasers are responsible for all research. After the Chancellor signs the Final Decree Confirming Sale, the buyer must record the certified copy to establish ownership. Failure to record may result in the property returning to a future tax sale.

How to Participate:

Attend the auction in person and register before 12:00 noon. Bidders acting on behalf of individuals or corporations must present Power of Attorney or corporate documentation. Absentee bidding is not allowed, but proxy bidding is permitted with the proper paperwork.
