Kane County Tax Information

Kane County will hold its annual Real Estate and Mobile Home Tax Sale Auction on Monday, October 28, 2024, beginning at 9:00 A.M. CST. This in-person event will be conducted at the Kane County Government Center, located at 719 S. Batavia Ave., Building A, Second Floor, Room 201, County Board Room, Geneva, IL 60134. Registration is required for tax buyers and must be completed in advance.

Terms of Sale

Bidders must deposit $500 to register for the sale. First-time tax buyers must provide certified funds. During the sale, purchasers will pay the registration fee. They add a $100 fee to obtain the Tax Sale List.

All sales will be conducted using the R.A.M.S. 2 (Randomized Auction Management System). This system collects bids via USB drives and awards each parcel to the lowest bid.

Single Bidder Rule: Tax buyers can register only one buyer, which prevents multiple bidding entities from representing the same interest.

How to Participate

Register: Complete your registration with the Kane County Treasurer’s Office between September 11, 2024, and October 11, 2024. They do not accept late registration.

Check-In: On the day of the sale, bring your deposit and USB drive with your bids from 8:30 to 9:00 A.M. All buyers must be present for check-in.

Bidding: Submit bids via USB using the R.A.M.S. 2 system. After the sale, They will send you confirmation of the bids you successfully submitted and processed.
