Sarpy County will hold its annual Delinquent Property Tax Sale on First Monday of March, at the Sarpy County Boardroom, 1210 Golden Gate Dr, Papillion, NE 68046. Registration must be completed in advance, with check-in starting at 8:30 A.M. The auction begins promptly at 9:00 A.M.

Terms of Sale:

A non-refundable registration fee of $25 is required per entity.

The county charges a non-refundable $20 fee per tax certificate.

Assignments and tax deeds require a $20 fee plus any notary charges.

Each entity must have a separate federal tax ID or Social Security number.

One person may represent multiple buyers, but each entity requires its own registration fee.

Properties in bankruptcy or owned by government entities are not available for purchase.

How to Participate:

Pre-Register: Submit an Excel spreadsheet with the required details to [email protected] and pay the registration fee by Friday before sale.

Obtain the Tax List: Sarpy County publishes the delinquent tax list for three weeks in February in the Omaha Daily Record and makes it available online at Sarpy County Tax Sale Information.

Bring a Blank Check: At check-in, provide a signed blank check payable to the Sarpy County Treasurer for the tax sale purchase.

Bidding Process: The sale follows a round-robin format. The system will assign a random bidder number, and bidders can purchase parcels in the listed order.
