Camp County TX – Redeemable Deed Auction

October 6 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Camp County Tax Sale Information

Camp County will host its public tax sale on the first Tuesday of the Month, at 1:30 PM, at the South Steps, 126 Church Street, at the Courthouse of the said County, in the City of Pittsburg, Texas. Bidders must register in person with the Linebarger representative before the auction begins.

Texas conducts most county tax foreclosure sales on the first Tuesday of the month, and Camp County follows that general schedule when applicable.

Key Auction Details:

Date: the first Tuesday of the Month
Location: South Steps, 126 Church Street, Courthouse, Pittsburg, Texas
Time: 1:30 PM (Central Time)

Terms of Sale:

CAMP County conducts a public tax foreclosure sale under Texas Property Tax Code guidelines.

Buyers must pay by Cashier’s Check or Money Order made payable to Linebarger Law Firm.

The sale takes place live at the courthouse steps. The county awards the property to the highest bidder.

Texas tax foreclosure sales transfer the property through a Sheriff’s Deed or Constable’s Deed. Many properties come with a statutory redemption period depending on property type. Homestead and agricultural properties usually carry a longer redemption period than non-homestead properties. Investors must review each judgment carefully before bidding.

The county typically posts the official Notice of Sale in The Pittsburg Gazette prior to the auction date.

How to Participate:

Review the posted Notice of Sale in The Pittsburgh Gazette.

Research each property listed in the judgment.

Bring certified funds in the correct form.

Register with the Linebarger representative before 1:30 PM on sale day.

Bid publicly at the courthouse steps.

Investors should inspect properties from the exterior only. Do not enter properties without legal authority.

Important Information for Investors

Texas tax sales differ from tax lien certificate states. In Texas, you bid on the property itself. The former owner may redeem the property within the statutory redemption period by paying the purchase price plus a penalty. That penalty creates the investor’s return if redemption occurs.

If no redemption occurs within the allowed period, the purchaser retains ownership subject to clearing title.

Before bidding, review:
The foreclosure judgment
Property type and occupancy
Estimated market value
Redemption eligibility
Any IRS or federal liens
Contact the attorney handling the sale for procedural questions. In this case, payments go to Linebarger Law Firm, which manages many Texas tax collections.
