Bosque County Tax Sale Information

Bosque County will hold its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on the first Tuesday of the Month, at the Courthouse Steps. Bidders must register prior to the sale, which begins at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the auction. All attendees should bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Terms of Sale:

Registration: All bidders must register on-site before the auction begins and present a valid government-issued ID. The grantee listed on the deed must be the registered bidder.

Payment: Successful bidders are required to pay with cash or a cashier’s check made payable to the Bosque County District Clerk. Payment must be completed on the same day as the auction.

Redemption Rights: Properties are subject to Texas’s statutory right of redemption. This period begins on the date of deed recording, lasting two years for homestead or agricultural land and 180 days for all other property types.

Purchase Deed: Successful bidders will receive a Constable’s Deed without warranty, and title insurance may not be available.

Property Sold “As Is”: Properties are sold as-is, with no guarantees or refunds. Bidders should research properties’ legal descriptions, conditions, and any potential liens prior to purchase.

How to Participate:

Arrive Early for Registration: Registration begins on-site before the sale; bring your valid government-issued ID.

Research the Property: Visit the County Clerk’s or Appraisal District’s office for maps, plats, and legal descriptions of properties.

Review Redemption Period: Do not carry out any significant improvements or repairs during the redemption period.
