Cullman County Tax Sale Auction Information

Cullman County will host its annual Land Tax Sale on Tuesday, May 3, 2025, at the County Commission Meeting Room of the Cullman County Courthouse. Registration begins at the Revenue Commission office before the sale. The auction starts promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Terms of Sale

Delinquent taxes are subject to penalties and fees as follows:

January 1: Taxes become delinquent. A 1% penalty plus a $5 late fee applies.

January 30: A 2% interest penalty and a $5 late fee apply.

February 20: Additional fees include a $10 late fee, a $5 probate fee, and a $10 mailing fee.

March 18: Advertising fees for publication in the local newspaper are added at $0.90 per word.

May 3: A 5% interest penalty, a $15 late fee, and other fees apply on the day of the sale.

Buyers should conduct thorough research since They Sell all properties as-is. You can purchase a list of properties to be auctioned for $5.00 at the Revenue Commission office in Room 102 on the day of the sale.

How to Participate

Register: Visit the Revenue Commission office before the sale to register and obtain your bid number.

Check-In: Confirm your registration on the morning of the auction.

Bidding: Arrive at the County Commission meeting room by 10:00 a.m. to participate in the live auction.
