Polk County Tax Sale Information

Polk County will conduct its Delinquent Property Tax Sale on First Tuesday of the month, at the temporary location designated by the Commissioners Court, 1103 Dunbar Avenue, Livingston, TX. Registration opens one week prior at the office of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson LLP or on-site the morning of the sale. The auction starts at 10:00 AM.

Terms of Sale:

Property is sold as is, where is, with no warranties

Purchasers must verify title, liens, and any encumbrances

Payment must be made by cash, personal check, cashier’s check, or money order

Checks should be made payable to Polk County

Buyer is responsible for deed recording fees and any taxes not covered in the judgment

How to Participate:

Pre-registration takes place one week before the sale at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson LLP, 501 N. Washington, Livingston, TX, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM

Day-of registration is available at the auction site

All bidders must provide an Affidavit of No Taxes Due from the Polk County Tax Assessor-Collector at 416 N. Washington, Livingston, TX

You must submit the affidavit at registration, and we provide it at no cost
