Greene County Tax Sale Information

Greene County will host its upcoming Delinquent Property Tax Sale on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the garage of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at 120 E. Main Street, Xenia, Ohio. No pre-registration is required to attend this in-person auction, and bidding will begin promptly at 1:00 PM.

Terms of Sale

In-Person Attendance Required: This is an in-person auction only; you must be present to bid.

Payment Responsibilities:

Taxes and assessments filed with the Greene County Treasurer will be deducted from sale proceeds.

The successful bidder is responsible for any subsequent taxes, assessments, or unpaid liens not covered by the sale.

Redemption Rights:

For properties sold without a set minimum bid, the judgment creditor and first lienholder may redeem the property within 14 days by paying the purchase price (per R.C. § 2329.311).

How to Participate

Registration: No registration is required to attend the live auction. Arrive at the Sheriff’s Office before the auction starts.

Bidding Requirements: Bidders must conduct all bidding in person on the auction day.
