Cass County Tax Sale Information

Cass County will host its upcoming Delinquent Property Tax Sale on the first Tuesday of the Month, at the North Steps of the Cass County Courthouse on Main Street in the City of Linden, Texas. Interested buyers must register with the Linebarger representative on-site before the auction starts at 10:00 AM.

Terms of Sale:

Payment is due at the time of the sale or shortly after, as determined by the officer conducting the auction.

Acceptable forms of payment include personal check, cashier’s check, or money order, made payable to Linebarger Law Firm. All sales are final and sold without warranty, express or implied.

The successful bidder receives a Constable’s or Sheriff’s Deed within 4 to 6 weeks, subject to any applicable redemption period and post-judgment taxes.

How to Participate:

To bid, individuals must register before the sale begins with the Linebarger representative at the auction site.

The auction will follow a traditional oral bidding process. Bidding starts at the minimum amount announced by the officer and increases with each new bid.

Property listings are typically published three times before the sale in the Atlanta Citizens Journal.

Bidders are encouraged to perform due diligence, including a title search, before participating.
