Johnson County will hold its Court-Ordered Delinquent Tax Public Auction on February 27 2026, at the Johnson County Courthouse in Mountain City, TN. Bidder registration begins at 9:00 AM, with the auction starting at 10:00 AM in the Upper Courtroom.

Terms of Sale

The auction will include properties with 2022 delinquent property taxes. All properties are sold as-is, without warranty. The minimum bid starts at the total amount due for delinquent taxes, interest, penalties, fees, and sale costs.

Each property is subject to a one-year redemption period, during which the current owner can reclaim the property by paying all outstanding amounts.

Winning bidders must pay in full by 3:00 PM on the day of the auction using cash or certified funds (No credit cards or personal checks).

Arrive early to register, starting at 9:00 AM, and obtain a bidder number.

Ensure you have funds ready to make full payment on the day of the auction.

Research properties ahead of time as they are sold as-is with no warranties.
